Gaylord Palms
This project includes an expansion to the existing Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. The expansion includes 312 guestrooms and suites, 180,000 SF of convention center space including a 30,000 SF ballroom, and back of house support space. The project also includes a major expansion for the resort and pool area of the property. The existing central energy plant will be able to support the expansion by utilizing new secondary pumping systems dedicated to the expansion.

the Post Oak at Uptown Houston
G2 provided commissioning services for The Post Oak at Uptown Houston building located in Houston Texas and owned by Landry’s. Project goals included achieving the prestigious AAA Five-Diamond designation. The building construction is a 35 story mixed-use tower which includes 15 stories of hotel with 270 keys, 10 stories of office floors, 2 floors of amenities, 2 stories of owner penthouse, 2 mechanical floors and 3 partial floors of hotel operations support for a total of 567,112 SF. Specialized areas that required additional coordination included the 5th level spa, restaurant kitchen systems, sectional ballrooms, and meeting rooms. Testing for the domestic hot water recirculation system included separate risers for the showers and lavatory bath fixture use. Central plant, air handling units, and IT systems sequence of operation was modified to include emergency shutdown and partial loading conditions. Additional effort for the cooling tower water treatment was completed to insure improved water quality that prevented scaling and improved equipment maintenance. Additional training was provided for the building automation system to ensure that alarm acknowledgment was followed up with actionable resolution. Building pressurization and humidity control was also reviewed for occupant comfort.

American Duchess
This project consists of a conversion of an existing Casino Vessel into a 166-passenger river cruise ship. In addition to the 140+ passenger and crew staterooms, the Vessel includes two-story loft-suites, veranda suites, two dining venues, a large theater venue, multiple bars and galleys. The existing electrical system has been modified to accommodate a new 1,500 HP paddlewheel. The riverboat’s existing HVAC system was replaced in its entirety, and a new vacuum black water plumbing system was incorporated into the vessel. G2 provided mechanical, plumbing and electrical engineering and architectural lighting design for the project.

Mountain View Fire Maintenance Facility
This project consists of a new Fire Maintenance Facility for the Mountain View Fire Rescue Authority. The project consists of 23,400 total SF consisting of a 17,000 SF vehicle maintenance area and 6,400 SF of office and storage space. Currently, the project is pursuing LEED Gold.
